Dr. R. Preetha Ramiah is a proficient Assistant Professor with 12+ years of experience in handling classes for engineering students and 9 years of experience in doing research works, specializing in ML (machine learning) and AI (artificial intelligence). Over the years I have developed expertise in technical analysis, leveraging technology and automation to deliver compelling solutions. As an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), Dr. Ramiah provided lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students and carried out high-profile research on the topics of image processing, AI, and IoT (Internet of Things).
Dr. Ramiah is a seasoned public speaker at industry events and research outcome presenter for top peer-reviewed international journals (including IEEE) and conferences. As well as being recognised for her significant contribution to academic institutions.
As a Research Scholar, Dr. Ramiah has developed a first-of-its-kind, innovative, software tool to reconstruct brain tumors three-dimensionally for assisting the surgeons using simple MR images, machine learning and visualization tools. She received Bharat Ratna Dr. Abdul Kalam Gold Medal Award for “Individual Achievement and National Development” in 2019.
